International Symposium on Quantum Computing and Quantum Optics

The International Symposium on Quantum Computing and Quantum Optics 2024 is dedicated to showcasing the latest advancements in the fields of quantum optics and quantum information. By uniting leading experts in these disciplines, the symposium will encompass a wide range of topics, from the quantum properties of atoms and photons to the cutting-edge applications of quantum technologies. This event aims to demonstrate how quantum science and technology can enhance our comprehension of the fundamentals of quantum mechanics while offering innovative solutions to complex challenges across diverse research domains, including informatics, biology, and medical sciences.

We would also like to seize this opportunity to celebrate the 80th birthday of Professor Shiyao Zhu. Professor Shiyao Zhu is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a recipient of the Lamb Award for his pioneering work ranging from lasing without inversion to quenched spontaneous emission.

The symposium will take place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a historically significant and culturally rich city. Registration opens on Nov. 7, followed by a three-day workshop from Nov. 8-10 featuring talks by world-renowned physicists, complemented by local cuisine and cultural experiences.
